In a thermal power plant components face harsh environment, which reduces their life. Some such areas include the coal handling plant, bowl mill area, boiler, steam turbine, process pumps, fans, chimneys etc.

Coal is abrasive in nature and presence of chemicals like Sulfur make is corrosive too, as a result, components that come in contact with coal in the coal handling plant deteriorate rapidly.

All the above and many other components are being protected with suitable thermal spray coating.
